Charlotte Murray is a wife, mother, minister, speaker, mentor, and servant leader whose life and work are rooted in faith, purpose, and passion for helping others. She and her husband, Levy, have been married for 30 years and are the proud parents of two sons, Elisha and Uriah. Charlotte considers her husband her first ministry and values partnering with him in ministry both inside and outside the home.

Education: She has a Bachelor of Science in Education with a minor in Mathematics. Charlotte’s biological mother was an individual with disabilities. Though she did not spend much time with her, Charlotte never forgot the woman God used to bring her into this world. Charlotte later earned a master’s degree in special education and taught students with different abilities for over 11 years before moving into administrative roles. She continues to promote inclusion because she believes the more voices, the greater the impact.

 

Ministry: In 2006, Charlotte was licensed in ministry after faithfully operating in her spiritual gifts while serving youth and adults within the church and community. In 2014, after 15 years of employment, she took a bold leap of faith and resigned from her position as a district leader to fully pursue her God-given purpose as a motivational speaker, mentor, teacher, and minister. In 2015, Charlotte and Levy were ordained into ministry by Pastor Curtis Johnson of Olive Grove Baptist Church.

Today, Charlotte is passionate about helping others grow, glow, and go into their destiny. She and Levy are the founders of A PoPPin’ Ministry — Product of Purpose and Power — dedicated to educating, equipping, and encouraging individuals to walk in divine purpose. Through this work, they serve the homeless and partner with ministries throughout the community. To expand their impact, they launched A PoPPin’ Educational & Motivational Services (A PoPPin’ E.M.S.), providing professional development, leadership training, and motivational speaking in schools and businesses.

Charlotte and Levy host several free youth conferences, including C’MON MAN! and Girl, Please!, designed to empower young people to become positive leaders at home, at school, and in their communities. Their heart is to encourage youth to see life’s struggles not as setbacks, but as steps toward greater success when they refuse to give up.

Charlotte continues to minister with energy and passion wherever God sends her, unbound by buildings, religion, or finances, and fully led by her relationship with and faith in God alone. She and Levy serve at Christ Life Church in Corpus Christi when not serving in the community.

 

Running: A runner since age 12, Charlotte is deeply honored to serve as Race Director for TARS. Running remains a positive outlet that has helped her conquer goals and meet amazing people. Charlotte loves running long distances because it reminds her that some finish lines are farther away than others but never give up because there is a finish line.  In addition to ministry and running, she is a motivational speaker, private tutor, mentor, and fitness coach.
