CEO’s Corner

Welcome to the CEO’s Corner. This week I will discuss Why TARS Exists—and Where We’re Going!

This space exists for one simple reason: clarity. Clarity of purpose. Clarity of direction. And clarity around why TARS Awareness Texas does what it does.

TARS Awareness Texas was not created to be just another nonprofit. It was created to solve a real problem that too often gets overlooked—providing meaningful, consistent opportunities for children with disabilities and their families to participate, belong, and thrive. That mission is not theoretical. It’s practical. It’s measurable. And it demands accountability.

As CEO, my responsibility is to ensure that TARS Awareness Texas operates with intention, integrity, and discipline. Passion matters—but passion without structure doesn’t last. Our focus is building an organization that is sustainable, transparent, and capable of long-term impact.

This means:

  • Programs that are inclusive, safe, and purposeful

  • Events that foster confidence, connection, and joy

  • Leadership that is accountable and mission-driven

  • Financial stewardship that earns trust

  • Growth that is thoughtful, not rushed

TARS Awareness Texas is guided by a strong Board, committed leadership, and a growing community of supporters who believe that access is not optional—it’s essential.

This blog will serve as a window into where we are headed. You’ll see updates on programs, milestones, partnerships, and the decisions that shape our future. It won’t be corporate spin or emotional storytelling for its own sake—it will be honest, direct, and focused on progress.

If you’re a parent, supporter, volunteer, or community partner, know this: your trust matters. Everything we do is built around honoring that trust and delivering real value to the families we serve.

Thank you for being part of the journey. The work ahead is important—and we’re just getting started.
